2. How to Teach “Play Dead” (Bang!)

Step 1: Ask your dog to lie “Down.”

Step 2: Hold a treat near their nose, then slowly lure their head over one shoulder until they flop onto their side.

Step 3: Once they’re on their side, say “Bang!” or “Play Dead” and give the treat.

Step 4: Extend the time they stay “dead” by waiting a few seconds before giving the treat.
